Rose M. Rose

Rose M. (Motta) Rose, age 88 of Taunton, passed away on November 28, 2025 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred J. Rose.

Born in Raynham, Rose was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Motta.

Before retiring, Mrs. Rose was employed at both FB Rogers and Reed and Barton in the payroll department, before transitioning to Retail Printing, where she did data administration. She was an avid reader and especially loved Clive Cussler adventure novels. She also loved football and was a huge Patriots fan.

Rose is survived by her loving children, Christine Correia and husband Mario of North Dighton and Beth Gould and husband Jeffrey of Attleboro, grandmother of Alexandra, Rachel, Brady, Benjamin and Brooke. She was also the mother of the late Mark J. Rose and sister of the late Joseph and Sadie Motta.

Mrs. Rose’s funeral with visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Nicholas of Myra Church Spring Street, North Dighton.

Interment will follow in Cedar Knoll Cemetery, East Taunton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts made to the MSPCA in Rose’s memory, would be deeply appreciated.
