Pawtucket, RI – Thomas John Harris, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026. Born in Pottsville, PA, he was the son of the late Harold and Anne (Fatula) Harris.
Thomas honorably served in the United States Navy. He was a longtime resident of East Greenwich, RI and worked as an Estimator for Eastern Construction before becoming the Owner and President of RI Structural Restoration. An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of Segregansett Country Club, Taunton, MA.
He is survived by his beloved children, Julie Silva (Mark), Anna Harris, Katie Kearns (James), and Rachel Hanewich. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Emily Wood, Harrison Mercer, Eric Silva, Nicole Silva, Hayden Kearns, Madison VanBever, William Hanewich, one great-grandchild, Autumn Wood, a sister Donna Iafrate (Angelo) and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings Jerome Harris, Robert Harris, Peter Harris, James Harris, Barbara Myers, Joan Mest, Patricia Harris and Arlene Harris.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 4pm to 7pm at the WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave, Pawtucket. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN38105.
