Rose Rosenberg

Mrs. Rose Rosenberg passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Care One in East Brunswick. She was ninety-five years old.

Mrs. Rosenberg was born in Elmora, Pennsylvania to Anthony and Lena Carrara. She relocated to New Brunswick with her family at a young age after the passing of her mother. She was educated in New Brunswick and entered the workforce.

Rose soon met the love of her life, Joseph (Rosey) Rosenberg and the young couple got married and settled in North Brunswick where they would raise their growing family. She remained a resident of North Brunswick until her passing.

She was employed by Middlesex County Bank as a teller and later by the Rutgers Community Health Plan as a Receptionist. She also worked for many years for the Township of North Brunswick as a Crossing Guard and was a member of North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company 1 Ladies Auxiliary.

In her free time, she enjoyed being with her family. She always was ready to take a trip to Atlantic City or to Las Vegas for fun and liked to play Bingo and card games with her friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph F. Rosenberg in 1993. She was also predeceased by her brother Peter Carrara and sisters Mary Louise Carrara, Lena Carrara Bruzek and her grandson Johnnie Matias.

Rose is survived by her children, Joseph Rosenberg and his wife Laura, Susan Kneller and her husband Frank and Denise D'Elia and her husband Duane. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Carrara, grandchildren Michael Kneller and wife Kim, Brian Kneller and wife Jennifer, Kelly McElvaine, Desirae Martins and her husband Luis, Marlene Lanza and her husband Tim, Joseph f. Rosenberg, Jessica Rose D'Elia, Jenny Lynn Meckes and her fiancé Bryan Losagio, and great-grandchildren Alexis, Emma, Garrett. Zoey, Oliver, Olivia, Evan, Nick, Jacob, Tristin, Charlie Jo, Callan, Quintin.

Visiting will take place on Tuesday February 24, 2026, at Gleason Funeral Home of North Brunswick 555 Georges Road in North Brunswick from 5-8 PM. A funeral service will begin at 7 PM. Graveside services will take place on Wednesday, February 25 at 10 AM at Van Liew Cemetery. Please consider a contribution in Mrs. Rosenberg's name to Juvenile Diabetes Research at www.
