Rose Catherine Strange

Rose Catherine (Menicucci) Strange, 95, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, at Sanatoga Court. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard "Dick" Clark Strange, with whom she shared 72 years of marriage before his passing on May 27, 2022.
Born in Westbury, Long Island, NY, on November 7, 1929, Rose was the daughter of the late Ottaviano Fortunato Menicucci and Maria Louise (Bosio) Menicucci.
Over the years, Rose worked for Chester Valley Tree Experts in Pottstown, PA, Dr. Zimmerman, and Quality Control Medical Laboratory, and she proudly sold Avon for 25 years. She was a devoted and active member of Christ Episcopal Church, where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Doe Club of Lodge #814 in Pottstown. Rose found her greatest joy in caring for her family - especially through her love of cooking - and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Rose is lovingly remembered by her children, Richard Strange, Earl (Katherine Hedrick) Strange, and Laurie (Rodney) Christman; her grandchildren, Rachel, Rebecca, Jason, Lauren, Aubrey, Rodney, Rachel, and Jesse; her great-grandchildren; and her sister, Marina Burckhardt.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Catherine and Ben Licardi, Mary Anne and Henry Droege, and William Burckhardt.
A viewing will take place on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 316 E. High St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will take place afterward at Highland Memorial Park, 701 Farmington Ave., Pottstown, PA 19464.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rose's memory to Christ Episcopal Church at the address listed above.
