Rose Marie (Nolke) Talbott, 89, of Lorena, TX, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024. The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 26, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 27, at Hewitt Church of Christ, 816 First St, Hewitt, TX, with Johnny Stephens officiating.
Rose was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to the late Hermann and Iola (McBee) Nolke. She married Chester Talbott on August 19, 1951. She was a loving mother who stayed at home to raise their six children. Rose was a faithful Christian woman who loved the Lord’s church and her role as a military wife and later as a preacher’s wife. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crosswords and sudoku. Later in life, Rose wrote inspirational articles for West Virginia Christian. She and Chester lived in Lorena, TX, for the past 46 years, where she remained after Chester passed away in 2012.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Hermann and Iola Nolke; husband, Chester “Chet” Talbott; and son-in-law, James E. Farley.
She is survived by her children, Linda Farley of Louisa, KY, David Talbott and wife Kathy of Lubbock, TX, Cathy Henderson and husband, Brent, of Hood River, OR, Sandra Ford and husband, Wayne of Broken Arrow, OK, Steven Talbott and wife Gina of Montgomery, TX, and Glenn Talbott and wife Lori, of Temple, TX. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
