Rose Templeton Obituary
Rose Templeton, 96, of Carmi passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Wabash Senior Living and Rehab in Carmi, IL. She was born on April 7, 1928 in Oklahoma City, OK the daughter of Edgar F. and Essie (Love) Link. Rose graduated from Carmi Township High School in 1946. On August 25, 1950, Rose married Roscoe Templeton. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Carmi. In her youth, she enjoyed playing softball, bowling and dancing and as her family grew, she enjoyed camping and boating and attending and supporting her children and grandchildren in all their activities. Rose loved to garden and cheer on the Carmi Bulldogs and St. Louis Cardinals.
Rose is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Roscoe; three children, Dannie (Kim) Templeton of Carmi, David (Martha) Templeton of Carmi and Donna Templeton-Howell of Westfield, IN; five grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Templeton, Melinda (Matt) Burnett, Zach (Amelia) Templeton, Hannah Templeton and Moriah (John) Roberts; and 12 great grandchildren
Funeral Services for Rose Templeton, 96, of Carmi will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden in Carmi. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rose's memory to the First Presbyterian Church in Carmi or the Carmi Lions Club and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
