Rose was born in North Adams on September 28, 1943 a daughter of Michael Francis Dowling & Pasqualina Josephine (Mondia) Dowling. She attended local schools and worked at Newberry's and Goodwill. Her primary focus in life was being a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved spending time with family and friends.
Rose was the widow of Walter Upton who died in 2008. She leaves 5 children including Tina Upton, Kenneth Upton, Dawn Forrest, Walter Upton Jr and Malissa Upton, several grandchildren including Kayline Upton, Kristy Renzi, Tyler Deschaine and many great grandchildren; as well as a sister, Faith Fleming. She was predeceased by her siblings, Michael Dowling Jr, Dolores Dowling, Eleanor Davis and Patricia Sifton as well as a step brother, Harold Dowling
FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service to celebrate the life of Rose Upton will be on Monday August 19, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
