Rose Valpone ObituaryRose Marie Valpone (nee Vacchiano), 91, of Ocean Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at home at The Chelsea Senior Living in Shrewsbury. Rose was born in Asbury Park and lived most of her life in Ocean Township.
Rosie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend to all. She was a force. Her energy, spirit and feisty personality touched everyone she met almost immediately and thankfully that spirit remained constant throughout every day of her life. With a smile and a "Hi Honey" she made everyone feel important, loved and part of her world. Laughter followed her whether she meant to be funny or not. She lived a full life and will be truly missed by many.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Asbury Park and previously active, with her beloved husband Peter, in the Shark River Beach and Yacht Club and Italian American Association of Ocean Township.
She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Peter Valpone; her two stepsons, Peter and Paul Valpone, her parents, Samuel and Mary Vacchiano and brothers, Frank Vacchiano and Pat Quatrano.
Surviving is her son, Christopher Valpone and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Thursday at the Fiore-Buckley Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 11am on Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Entombment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Neptune. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Grace Hospice. For condolences, please visit
