Rose M. Ward, 89, of Upper Nazareth Township, PA, formerly of Long Island, NY, and Spring Hill, FL, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital–Anderson Campus.
Born on April 7, 1936, in Brooklyn, NY, Rose was a daughter of the late Hugh and Rose (McColgan) Bonner.
Her beloved husband of 47 years, John P. Ward, passed away on July 28, 2004.
Rose was deeply devoted to her family and played a vital role in the lives of her grandchildren. Through her patience, calm demeanor, and loving guidance, she provided lasting social, emotional, and educational support, helping them learn how to face and overcome life's challenges.
She is survived by three sons, John Ward of Springfield, NJ, Dennis Ward and his wife Lidia of Annandale, NJ, and Kevin Ward of North Babylon, NY; one daughter, Lisa Hoffmann and her husband Kevin of Upper Nazareth Township; nine grandchildren, Danny, Michael, John, Kaylie, Taylor, Marissa, Jaclyn, James, and Jessica; two brothers, Hugh Bonner and his wife Terry of upstate NY, and Owen Bonner and his wife Kathy of Brooklyn, NY; three sisters, Marie DeDora of Spring Hill, FL, Beatrice Leheny of Georgia, and Patricia Payne and her husband John of Bayshore, NY; and many nieces and nephews, especially Debbie and James Wong.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Catherine Donohue and Anne Williams.
Private arrangements are under the direction of Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Easton. Interment will be held privately at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Online condolences may be offered at www.strunkfh.com
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
