Rose Marie Watterson

Rose Marie Watterson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in

Benicia, California on Sunday, November 16, 2025, following a long illness. Marie lived a life grounded in faith, family,

and love. She fought bravely until the end, surrounded by those who cherished her.

Born August 30, 1949 in Los Angeles, she eventually moved to Northern California with her family and graduated

from Pittsburg High School in 1967. A Benicia resident for the past 8 years, Rose Marie worked as an esthetician in

Fairfield, where she developed many special relationships with her clients. She was a devoted member of St.

Dominic's Catholic Church and was deeply involved in parish life, especially through several prayer groups that were

close to her heart.

Rose loved being with her family-especially her grandchildren-who were the light of her life. She enjoyed

shopping, had a keen sense of style, and was an enthusiastic football fan.

She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Cal; her son Anthony Lumbre and his wife Amanda, her daughter,

Renee Lumbre; her son Joseph Lumbre and his wife Sky. Her brothers; Tony Sanchez, Frank Sanchez, and Arthur

Sanchez; and her sisters Jenny Crancer, Jessie Schmidt, Irene Ford, and Teresa Highlander. She is also survived by

her cherished grandchildren: Anthony, Avayla, Isaiah, Aiden, Dominic, Colton, Merritt and Rowan; her great-

grandchildren Raiyo and Levi; her beloved cat, CC and her grand-dog TaTonka.

Rose was preceded in death by her brother John Sanchez and her loyal dog Molly. Rose's legacy of faith, strength,

and love will live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24 at Passalacqua Funeral

Chapel, followed by a vigil service at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on

Tuesday, November 25 at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St. Dominic's Catholic Cemetery in
