Rose Youngstrom Obituary

Rose passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at McLaren Medical Center in Flint at the age of 90. She was born July 4, 1933, to the late Anton and Constance Buchnius. Rose enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, traveling, bird watching, and doing activities with her friends at New Hope Bay. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow up.

Rose is survived by her son, David (Michelle) Youngstrom; three grandchildren, Ashley (Jeremy) Flood, Andrew Youngstrom and Abagail Rose Youngstrom; sister-in-law, Kelli Youngstrom; nieces and nephews, Sandra Niemiec, Pam Knysz, Brenda Hindman, Mike Youngstrom, Patricia Youngstrom Ramthun, Carl Youngstrom, Joan Gerwig, Scott Youngstrom, Monica DuMont and Brad Youngstrom and many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Youngstrom; brother Stanley Rudis; Sister Alice Buchnius; brother and sisters in law, Clifford Youngstrom, Margaret Youngstrom, Howard Youngstrom, Josie Youngstrom, Ervin Youngstrom, Roy Youngstrom, and Tom Youngstrom; nephew Steve Youngstrom.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to New Hope Bay Senior Living and McLaren Flint Neuro ICU for the outstanding care and compassion.

A Celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Gephart Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Parish (1000 South Wenona Street. Bay City, MI 48706) or the charity of your choice.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Hart Cemetery, Intersection of W. Tyler Rd. and N. 72nd Ave, Hart at 12:30 p.m.
