Rosemarie Gorman-Gifford Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 27, 2025.
Rosemarie Gifford-Gorman of Rochester Hills, died December 27, 2025. She was 82 years old. Rosemarie (Rosie) was born October 13, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan to Helen and John Squillo. She was an only child who grew up in Detroit and graduated from the Patronage of St. Joseph High School, part of the Archdiocese of Detroit. She met her husband and soul mate Richard Gorman and married in 1963. They lived in Ferndale and started their family with the birth of their son Richard. They moved to Clawson, expanding their family with the birth of a second son, Kyle and beloved daughter Kari. They lived in Clawson for years where Rosie worked at Schalm Elementary School. After Richard Sr.'s untimely passing she met her second love, Larry Gifford. They wed at the St. Bonaventure Church in Detroit. They loved the annual Clawson 4th of July festivities. Rosie later worked at Health Plan of Michigan as the Executive Assistant to the founders until she retired in 2007. Rosie loved her grandchildren, dogs (including her beloved Cider, Maverick, Finnegan, and currently Reagan to name a few), the Hallmark channel, the Waltons, food shows, and the Pioneer Woman. The last several years she lived in Rochester Hills and was cared for by family and several wonderful caregivers. She was loved by all and will be unbelievably missed.
Rosie is survived by her sons and grandchildren, Richard (Kim) Gorman, Kyle (Christine) Gorman, and son in law (Bill LaBadie); Alexis, Ashley, Stone, Cooper, Billy, and Logan. Rosie is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kari Gorman and husbands, Richard Gorman and Larry Gifford.
Private services are being planned.
