Rosemarie Pantano Obituary

Rosemarie Pantano passed away on October 20, 2025, in Naples, Florida. She was 95 years old.
Rosemarie grew up in Hartford, near where she will be laid to rest in Bloomfield, Connecticut, where she will be reunited with her high school sweetheart, and husband of 69 years, Paul Pantano, Sr. Besides her faith, nothing brought Rosemarie more joy than her devotion to her husband, and their four children: Paul, Marydawn, John, and Edward.
Rosemarie was the quintessential family-first person. She hosted many holidays at the home Paul Sr., built for her on Galloping Hill Road, in Fairfield, Connecticut. When not resting her eyes in her own recliner next to Paul Sr., in his, Rosemary was constantly moving. In her later years, she and her sisters took care of their late mother, Caroline Cassara. She and Paul also looked after her mother-in-law, Pauline Pantano.
Rosemarie kept a clean house. She derived unrestrained joy from getting tough stains out of dirty laundry; a skill all who have survived her passing are still looking inward to find ourselves. Rosemarie was a fabulous seamstress. She loved to cook, bake, and spoil her grandchildren: Christine, Michael, Alison, Mark, Kate, Michael, Kristen, MaryClaire, Larkin, Eamon, Catherine and Elizabeth.
Rosemarie was the daughter of Caroline DiLizia and Emanuel Cassara. She was born June 27, 1930, in Hartford, Connecticut. Rosemarie had two sisters: Roberta, who predeceased her in 2008; and Evelyn, who carries on the Cassara love for honoring family and God.
Rosemarie was a graduate of St. Joseph College in Hartford, Connecticut. The alumni association there became one of her other life-long passions. She stayed in contact with her fellow college classmates up until her passing.
Rosemarie's family will receive family and friends on Saturday, November 22, 2022, from 9:15AM to 10:15AM at Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, CT 06095. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30AM at St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad St., Windsor. Burial will follow at Mt. Saint Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, CT 06002. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the St. Joseph College at https://fundraise.givesmart.com/f/2nli/n?vid=1mnfdi. For condolences, please visit www.carmonfuneralhome.com.
