Rosemary Helen Flowers, 66, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025.
She was born June 14, 1959, in Medina, Ohio, to the late Adam and Rose Mary (Pokorny) Kristek. Rosemary was a 1977 graduate of Woodmore High School, Elmore, Ohio. On April 4, 1986, she married Ronald Flowers in Gibsonburg, Ohio.
Rosemary was a loving, caring homemaker and mother to her two daughters, Rachel and Sarah. She raised her family in rural Deshler, Ohio for most of her life. Her children, and then also her grandchildren later on, were the lights of her life and brought her so much joy.
Rosemary had been a member of both Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Deshler, and St. Louis Catholic Church, Custar, over the years. For the past seven years, she was a resident of Northcrest Rehab and Nursing Center, Napoleon, Ohio, where she was very well loved and cared for by the staff. Here, she was fond of their Bingo games, getting her hair and nails done, and receiving visits with lay ministers from St. Augustine Catholic Church, Napoleon.
When not venturing out of her room, she could be found watching her favorite Western television shows or listening to her favorite music by Barry Manilow, The Beach Boys or The Osmond Brothers.
Rosemary enjoyed occasional outings with her daughter, Rachel, who was her guardian and caregiver after her dementia diagnosis in 2018. Her favorite activities while out and about were shopping, getting lunch at Arby's, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was very fond of animals and always enjoyed snuggling cats when visiting family.
Rosemary was also very grateful for her favorite caretaker and friend, Becky, who looked after her and saw that she was well cared for at Northcrest in the past few years.
She will always be remembered as a caring mother and adoring grandmother, with a smile that lit up the entire room. She will be missed by all those she loved and all those who loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald; two daughters, Rachel (Mac) Clark, Sarah Flowers; step-daughter, Tiffany Laberdee; nine grandchildren, Jarrett, Piper, Emersyn, Willow, Oliver, Benjamin, Wynter, Jasper, Adria; three brothers, Adam (Iva Jean) Kristek, Michael Kristek and Chris Kristek.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Kristek, James Kristek; and two sisters, Patricia Kristek and Mary Ruth Kristek.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, with Fr. Jerry Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in Grelton Cemetery, Grelton, Ohio. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025, at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to Northcrest Rehab & Nursing Center or directly to the family for a college fund for her grandchildren.
