Rosemary Sweat Hilton Ridgeville, SC - Rosemary Sweat Hilton, 69, of Ridgeville, wife of Claud Nathaniel Hilton, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family. Facial coverings and social distancing are required. Family and friends are invited to attend her graveside service on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 3:30 o'clock at Cummings Chapel Cemetery, 137 Cummings Chapel Road, Ridgeville. Mrs. Hilton was born March 17, 1951 in Summerville, daughter of the late Richard Sweat and Arlene Knight Sweat. Mrs. Hilton enjoyed the outdoors, but especially loved sitting by the river. She loved to talk and never knew a stranger; she was a friend to all. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be loved and sorely missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband, Claud, two sons, Robert Hilton (Amy) of Ridgeville and Jason Hilton (Jenny) of Summerville; two grandchildren, Ashlyn and Vivian; brother, Ricky Sweat (Carolyn) of Summerville; and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to her caretaker, Rosemary "Cookie" Creel for her love and dedication to Mrs. Hilton. She was predeceased by a sister, Cynthia Hannah.
