Rosemary S. Kolarcik, 79, of Adams Twp., passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
Born on September 12, 1946, in McKees Rocks, PA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew G. and Anna M. (Butter) Kolarcik.
Loving mother of Jacqueline Poloka, Christi (Joseph Schmitt) Kolarcik, and Chad Kolarcik; adored "Deenie" of Jared Daniel, Reanna Marie, Layla Jayne, Barrett Alan, and Emmett Joseph Kolarcik-Schmitt; dear sister of Andrew (Virginia) Kolarcik; cherished aunt of Andrew (Deborah) Kolarcik, Mindy (Larry) Szymanski, and Dean (Tiffany) Kolarcik; also survived by many friends and those that became family.
Rosemary always put her family first and would do anything to make sure they had what they needed. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. At hockey, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, volleyball, and baseball games; track and swim meets; and chorus concerts, she was the one cheering loudest, not just for her grandbabies but for all of the kids (she had all of the names and numbers written down in her purse to get it right). Some of her other favorite activities included the Mars library's summer reading program, trips to Mars Bethel for putt-putt and ice cream, and Fun Fore All outings.
Rosemary worked hard throughout her life, and this strong work ethic led to many of her friendships over the years. As a single mother, she did it all and was everything to her children.
She is best known for her Deenie breakfasts of Mancini's French toast and dippy eggs, making the best hot sausage sandwiches, and being the best gift-giver. She loved decorating especially during the fall and for Christmas, Peanuts everything, buying everyone "outfits," and carrying around her big purse. She was feisty and fun with a playful sense of humor and genuine love of life including riding any and all rollercoasters. She also loved animals and the many she cared for over the years, including horses, cats, dogs, rabbits, turtles, and frogs, will be happy to see her again in Heaven.
Rosemary's legacy of friendship and family and the love she poured into the world will remain eternal.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township, PA 16066. Rosemary will be laid to rest at Saint Mary's Cemetery at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Animal Friends (https://thinkingoutsidethecage.org/donate/),
