Rosemary Lucas passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Joseph and Theresa Cole (Rossi) on July 20, 1925. On August 7, 1948, she married the love of her life, John P. Lucas. Together, they shared 68 wonderful years of marriage until his passing.

Rosemary was a devoted mother to Karen (the late Donald) Pelachyk and John (Sharon) Lucas. She was a cherished grandmother to Kristen (Collin) Coughlin, Kathryn (Carl) Roehling, Jenny (Justin) Kolbow, and Michael Lucas. She was also a proud and adored great-grandmother to Charlotte Roehling, Abby Roehling, Claire Roehling, Madison Kolbow, Kennedy Kolbow, Paige Kolbow, and Connor Coughlin.

A founding member of the Amvets Auxiliary Post 9, Rosemary dedicated countless hours to supporting veterans and volunteering at the VA Hospital. She and John enjoyed traveling across the country, especially attending Amvets conventions with close friends.

Family was the heart of Rosemary's life. Summers at "the cottage" were filled with joy, especially during the Fourth of July celebrations, where she warmly welcomed her extended family to join in the festivities.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, from 3–8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. Scripture Service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr Rd., at Metro Parkway (16 Mile).

AMVETS Auxiliary Post 57 will have a White Clover Memorial Service at 6:30pm.

Instate Saturday at 9:00 a.m. until time of 9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Rd., Sterling Heights.

Private Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
