Rosemary "Rosie" Petersheim Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by J. Warren Funeral Services Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel on Jan. 9, 2025.

Rosemary "Rosie" Petersheim, 75, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, in Maricopa, Arizona. A devoted mother, grandmother, partner, and friend, Rosie lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Rosie was born in Pennsylvania; however, she called Pensacola, FL home. There she worked for 25 years at the Navy Exchange, where she built lasting relationships with coworkers and customers alike. Her bright spirit and infectious laughter brought joy to those around her, whether at work or in her personal life. In 2021, Rosie made the heartfelt decision to move to Maricopa, Arizona, to be closer to her family, a choice that brought her immense joy and fulfillment.

Known for her lively spirit and laughter, Rosie loved spending time with family and friends, playing BINGO at the local casino, and gathering with friends for poker nights, where her quick wit and competitive spirit always shone. A lover of funny movies that never failed to make her laugh, her joy for life and ability to spread laughter will be remembered by all who knew her.

Rosie was preceded in death by her father, Albert "Duke" DiDomenico; her mother, Jennie Miller; and her sister, Bernadette Dawson. She is survived by her son, Brian Petersheim, his wife Suzanne; grandchildren, Haley and Brian Jr.; and her sister, Gloria Armato.

Rosie is also survived by her devoted partner, Melvin Dich, who brought love and companionship for 35 years.

Rosie’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and a life well-lived. She will be deeply missed but forever celebrated by her family and friends.

Rest peacefully, Rosie. Your laughter, love, and light will live on in the hearts of those who loved you.
