Rosena VanDriel Obituary
She married Art VanDriel on March 26, 1947 at the Pease Christian Reformed Church. After Art's death in 1988, she moved from Ogilvie to Milaca, where she learned to quilt from her good friend, Phyllis Johnson. Rosena loved to quilt, embroider, and knit dishcloths. She made all her grandchildren a quilt for their high school graduation. Rosena was a dental assistant in Mora for many years. Her entire life she trusted in the Lord Jesus. She was a member of the Ogilvie Christian Reformed Church and then the Pease Christian Reformed Church.
Rosena was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Art; daughter, Glorya Stockinger; granddaughter, Tricia VanDriel; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ben and Henrietta, George and Henrietta; brother, Henry; sister and brother-in-law, Jennie and Marvin Smith; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wes and Wilma Love, Cliff and Edna Mork; and brother-in-law, Don VanDriel.
She is survived by her children, Lynda (Wayne) Gergen of Coon Rapids, Ken (Geri) VanDriel of Merrill, WI, "Arty" Arleen (Ron) Heins of Ogilvie, Debra (Dave) Bennyhoff of Mound, Douglas (Susan) VanDriel of Derby, KS, Michael (Martha) VanDriel of Oak Hill, VA; son-in-law, Doug Stockinger of Sartell; grandchildren, Josh Heins, Mandi Beier, Brandon VanDriel, Patrick Gergen, Amy Muckey, Sam Bennyhoff, Anna VanDriel, Gracie VanDriel, Matthew VanDriel, and Micah VanDriel; step-granddaughters, Jodi Edwards and Katie Petersen; five great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Melvin (Theresa) and Jay (Joyce); sister, Hermina (Don) Weaver; and sisters-in-law, Elaine VanDriel and Myrna Schreur.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the Christian Reformed Church in Pease. Burial followed at Graceland Cemetery near Ogilvie.
