Rosendo Alvarez

Rosendo Alvarez Salazar, passed Thursday, September 1st, 2022, at his home in Hereford, Texas. His family announced the death. Mr. Alvarez was born the day of October 14, 1953 in the Cuidad de Acuna, Coahuila Mexico to parents Jose and Luz Alvarez. Rosendo before coming to the United States was in the military for Mexico (Fuerzas Armadas de México) shortly thereafter came to the United States in the year 1981 and was a resident in Hereford Texas for 40 years. Worked for many local feed yards in the Hereford area, worked for 12 years at the Hereford Bi-Products, 13 years at Champions Feed yards, Sugarland Feed yards for 6 years and a total of 8 Years at Circle Tree Feed yards before retiring. His hobbies were taking care of his pets, managing a small farm and working around the house. He was a strong and humble man, did everything by the book and wanted those close to him to follow the same path. He was a big fan of the NFL but was always torn apart between rooting for the Denver Broncos or the Dallas Cowboys, more so because one of his sons rooted for Denver and his other son rooted for Dallas. He is preceded in death by one son Julian Alvarez and his parents Jose and Luz Alvarez, survivors include his wife Ernestina Alvarez and two sons, Angel Alvarez and Rosendo Alvarez Jr along with several siblings, Jose Luis Alvarez of San Angelo, Mannuel Alvarez and his wife Dora Alvarez of Uvlade Texas. Mario Coronado, Ruben Coronado, Manuel Coronado, Tommy Coronado, Mando Coronado, Linda, Irene, Anita and Rachel Coronado all of Hereford Texas.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Calvary Family Church with Ruben Coronado officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Parkside Chapel Funeral Directors. Mr. Alvarez will be available for viewing 1:00PM to 8:00PM Friday, September 2, 2022, 9:00AM to 8:00PM Saturday, September 3, 2022, 1:00PM to 8:00PM Sunday, September 4, 2022 and 9:00AM to 8:00PM Monday, September 5, 2022. Prayer service will be 6:00PM held Monday September 5, 2022.
