Rosie Varisco

In Loving Memory of Rosemarie Varisco - Rosie Varisco, a radiant soul, departed on November 25th, 2023, leaving a legacy of love. Born on January 9th, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the cherished wife of Bud Varisco and a dedicated mother to Kristi (Cullen) and Brian (Leah) Varisco. A beacon of light, Rosie's warmth touched all who knew her. A 33-year elementary school teacher in school district U-46, Rosie's passion for education was unwavering. She also devoted nine years to Aurora University, leaving an immeasurable impact on countless students. Her joy in simple pleasures and family gatherings defined her. From vacations to card games, puzzles, and books, Rosie found happiness in cherished moments. Her friendships, a testament to her kindness, endure beyond time. Rosie's memory lives on in her four grandchildren: Dillon, Maclan, Braxton, and Skyler. She will be remembered for the love, compassion, and resilience she imparted to all. A mass in her honor will be held at St. George's Catholic Church (Apache Junction, AZ) on December 28th at 10 am, followed by a service at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (Mesa, AZ). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org). A Celebration of Life gathering is planned for 2024 in the Chicagoland area. Details to follow.
