Rossalyn Rhodes, affectionately known as “Ross,” was born on April 30, 1952, and peacefully passed away on July 9, 2024. In 1974 he devoted his life to Jehovah, ensuring his daughters attended meetings and participated in the field ministry to share their faith.

Ross was born in Gadsden, Alabama to Conrad and Hattie Rhodes. Throughout his adult life, he ventured to Wheeling, West Virgina and Birmingham, Alabama, before finally settling his family in Georgia. He is survived by his loving wife, Ladell Rhodes, and cherished daughters, Alethea (Ortavius) Williams and Tomeko (Torrey) Moore, along with his beloved granddaughter, Kennedi Moore. Among his siblings are: Linda Rutledge, Cynthia Rhodes, Eleanor Jean Deloatch, Angelquie Rhodes-Cowings, Delaina (Kay) Rhodes, Janice Tripp, Cynthia Camm, Angela Harris, Michelle (Prop) Mostella, Tracy (Jaeisha) Rhodes, Robert Rhodes, Conrad Rhodes Jr., Harris Lee, and Johnnie Lee. Ross also leaves behind his stepmother, Carrie Rhodes and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and an extended blended family.

Beyond the facts, Ross was known as a devoted brother, husband, exceptional father, and grandfather. Friends remember him as loving, kind, and generous, with a passion for art and gardening. His creative spirit extended to his ability to construct almost anything he envisioned.

Ross and Ladell celebrated nearly 52 years of marriage since their union on August 5, 1972. Through life's challenges, they stood united. Often perceived as quiet, Ross had a gift for storytelling, sharing tales about himself and others.

His giving nature knew no bounds; whether sharing stories or lending a helping hand, Ross always gave selflessly. As a devoted father and proud grandfather, he prioritized family, eagerly participating in Kennedi’s life, from her day of birth onward. He volunteered in her school's art club, nurturing her artistic skills.

Ross’s artistic talents shone through his work with Creative Display, Outdoor Systems, Turner, and other outdoor advertising firms over four decades. His paintings, often depicting Jehovah’s creations of landscapes and wildlife, which were a testament to his talent. One of his pieces even graced a museum.

His love for gardening showcased his creativity and eye for color coordination. Ross also had a knack for building, crafting various projects for himself and others. He had a passion for watching movies and not to forget, how he enjoyed eating late night desserts with his daughters.

Rossalyn Rhodes leaves behind a legacy of love and creativity to his cherished family. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate to know him.
