Rowan Sirmans, 81, of Pearson, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Born on April 20, 1944, in Nashville, Georgia, he was the son of the late June Henry Sirmans and Bessie Evelyn Sirmans.
Rowan proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he demonstrated the same dedication and integrity that would guide him throughout his life. Following his military service, he worked for many years at Union Camp, where he served as wood yard foreman.
A devoted man of faith, Rowan was an ordained minister for more than 40 years. He spent his life sharing the Word of God and serving his Lord and Savior with steadfast devotion.
In addition to his parents, Rowan was preceded in death by his sister, June Carolyn Grantham.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Rebecca Ann Sirmans of Pearson, Georgia; children: Harlan Sirmans of Pearson, Georgia and Kenny Sirmans (Liz) of Pearson, Georgia; grandchildren: Terrian Sirmans (Aaliyah) and Harley Sirmans (Rusty Mills), Haley Birmingham (Toby); great grandchildren: Asher Sirmans and Tucker Sirmans; sister, Betty Steedley of Valdosta, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Fender Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the church.
