Rowena Ruth (Logan) Lund, age 87, of Wyoming, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026.
Rowena was born on October 6, 1938, in Greensburg, Kansas, to Samuel and Lillie Logan. She graduated from Greensburg High School and began her working life as a legal secretary, later also working as a secretary at radio station KWSK in Pratt, Kansas.
She met her “swaby” who would turn out to be the love of her life, Clinton Lund, in Pratt and soon married
on April 26, 1958, in her hometown of Greensburg prior to his last deployment to midway island with United States Navy. After Clint's separation of service, the couple moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Rowena continued her work as a legal secretary. In June of 1960, they relocated to Minnesota. Clinton began working as an A&P Mechanic for North Central Airlines, and Rowena embraced life as a devoted mother with the birth of their son Wayne in 1961, followed by the addition of James in 1965.
In 1965 Rowena and Clint, with business partner George Wood, purchased Houle's Trailer camp on the South side of Forest Lake, renaming the business WoodLund Homes. Eventually, George left the partnership and Rowena and Clint carried on the business until selling it in 1995. They continued to be involved in the industry, with Steve Isaacson keeping busy building, expanding, and eventually selling two Manufactured Housing Communities.
Rowena loved her genealogy, visiting graveyards, court houses and the like from Scotland to Ireland to Tennessee, Missouri and on to her home town Greensburg.
She also loved to dance with Clint, sometimes several times a week traveling to several old-time dances in the area, where they made many new friends.
Rowena was also active in the church, she provided care services through her association with Stephens Ministry, sharing her wisdom with grace with those who needed guidance with not only spiritual issues, but those associated with mental health, drug use and more. She served on several committees and was active in many bible studies and prayer groups.
Rowena also loved to travel with Clinton, they covered many miles by car, ship and plane, her last trip was in October to Norway with her nephew and his wife, and Clint's Niece and her husband. Mom loved her family most of all, the joy her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren brought to her will always hold fond memories.
In the end, the last thing to go was her marvelous sense of humor and mischievous eyes.
Rowena was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings; her brothers, Joe Dee Logan, James Arthur Logan, David Benjamin Logan, and John Wesley Logan; her sisters, Winona Mae Naumann and Ora Ellen Doyle; and her sisters-in-law, Marlene Logan and Virgie “Babe” Logan.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 67 years, Clinton Lund; her children, Wayne Logan (Kathleen) Lund and James Clinton (Sharlene) Lund; her grandchildren, Kyle (Brittaney), Logan, Shelby (Matt), and Isaac; her great-grandchildren, Emery, Eden, Berit, and Bennett; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Linwood Covenant Church, 6565 Viking Blvd NE, Wyoming, Minnesota. Visitation will take place from 9:30–10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
