Roxann Putnam Haynes, 60, of Calhoun Falls, SC, died Thursday, October 30, 2025 at her home. She was born in Elberton, GA to the late William Earl and Jeweline Powell Putnam.
A 1983 graduate of Calhoun Falls High School, Roxann attended Northside Baptist Church. For the past 15 years, she has been employed with Hwy. 72 Marine where she found much happiness working, greeting customers who all became friends, and loving her employers who were like family. Roxann preciously worked at Mohawk. She enjoyed fishing (not that she caught many, but caught lots of trees), riding her golf cart through Calhoun Falls, dressing up for Halloween and listening to music. Roxann loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and with her dog, Lula. She was a friend who had a sweet smile for all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Putnam.
Roxann is survived by her son, Rickey Haynes (Chelsey) of Greenwood, SC; two grandchildren, Kaydence and Hunter Haynes; four sisters, Patsy Rice (Johnny) of Elberton, GA, Teresa Davis (Bill) of Elberton, GA, Marsha Putnam of Calhoun Falls, SC, and Debra Putnam (Randy) of Chattanooga, TN; four special nieces, Dawn Price (Tara), Jessie Fleming (Craig), Brandi Mobley (Shawn) and Hope Mobley (Maurice) all of Calhoun Falls, SC; and many extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends 1:00PM to 2:00PM, Sunday, November 2, 2025 at the Harris Funeral Home, Calhoun Falls Chapel, 526 E. Savannah St. Funeral services will begin on Sunday at 2:30PM in the funeral home chapel with Mr. Joseph Cade officiating. Burial will follow in Latimer Cemetery.
