Roy Arthur Bennett

Roy Arthur Bennett, born on December 1, 1941, in Ramsey, West Virginia, passed away on October 28, 2025, in Carroll, Ohio. He had a fulfilling career, employed with Lancaster Glass and Bailey, and he later retired from Canal Winchester Schools, where he was known for his dedication and commitment to his work.

Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Jean Bennett (Spencer). He was a loving stepfather to Keith Weaver (Donna) of Lancaster, Ohio, Penny Gooley of Rockbridge, Ohio, and Tammy Roberts (Charles) of Logan, Ohio. He also cherished his relationships with his sisters, Sharon Davis (Dale) of Lake Wales, Florida, and Karen Cale (Larry) of Hickory, North Carolina. Roy held a special place in his heart for his nephew, Jeffery Pierce, of Lancaster, Ohio, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Daniel Bennett and Glenna Pearl Wade Bennett, as well as his sisters, Frances Burton (Bob) and Carolyn Pierce.

Friends and family are invited to honor Roy’s memory during visitation on November 3, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Carroll, located at 51 Park Street, Carroll, Ohio 43112. Interment to follow ay Carroll Cemetery. 

Roy's legacy of hard work, dedication to family, and commitment to community will long be remembered by those who knew him.
