William “Bill” Monford Smith, age 82, passed away peacefully on the morning of February 8, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel and Tom Smith; his brother, Kody Smith; and his daughter, Gretchen Smith.
Bill is survived by his sisters, Kathleen and Marilyn; his son, Kevin (Chad); his stepson, James (Katy); his stepdaughter, Linsay (Johnathan); and his two beloved granddaughters, Alexis and Mckenna.
Bill loved farming, collecting tractors, spoiling his granddaughters, and telling silly jokes. His warmth and humor will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
There are no services planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hoover Haus, where Bill spent the last 10+ years of his life.
