It started by an email to Roy. I had purchased and read his book. I found that we had pounded some of the same ground. I spent most of the 60's in the Navy w/ two tours in VN. I asked since I thought we would never meet in person if he would sign my book for me as another Man of War's Man. He agreed and wrote a very personal note to me., from then on until his death we chatted on emails and on the phone once in a while. He was a true patriot and an American the kind we will most likely never see again. Roy rest in peace my friend. May we meet on the other side.
