Roy Joseph Boltman III

Roy Joseph Boltman III, of Shoreview, passed away at home on July 26, 2024, at the age of 74.
Survived by his devoted and loving wife of 52 years, Joan; children, Joseph Boltman, Melissa "Missy" (John) Norling and Jennifer (Andrew) Hansell; grandchildren, Parker, Molly, and Justin Norling, and Julia, Maria, and Lydia Hansell, and his furry best friends, Winnie and Gretel; Sisters Kathy Herbert, and Patti (Ken) Spessard and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Roy graduated from Central High School in 1968. Immediately following graduation he enlisted in The US Army Reserves and left for Fort Dix, New Jersey. He returned home and enrolled at St. Paul Technical Vocational Institute where his career as an electrician began. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union IBEW 110 for 39 years. He spent the majority of his career with Ries Electric, retiring as a master electrician.
He married his high school sweetheart Joan and they raised three children together, settling in Shoreview. Roy was devoted to his family and friends. There was nothing he couldn't fix and no one he wouldn't help. He loved to travel, watch the Vikings, spend time with family and friends and supporting his grandkids in their sports. He will be deeply missed by many.
