ROY EDWARD CARTER JR, a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 47. He was born on March 8, 1978, and was known for his outgoing and friendly personality, making a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
Roy was much more than just a cherished member of his family; he was also a man of God and an active member of Concord Church. His faith played a significant role in his life, guiding him in his everyday actions and interactions with others. Roy was passionate about life and had a special enthusiasm for firearms, serving as a gun instructor and sharing his knowledge with many eager learners.
In addition to his interests in firearms, he enjoyed playing games such as pool, darts, dominoes, and skip-bo, frequently engaging with friends and family in friendly competition. His ability to connect with others and make them feel valued was one of his most admirable qualities, and he will be missed deeply by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Roy’s life during the visitation on April 10, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway. Funeral services April 11, 2025 at Concord Church 6808 Pastor Bailey Dr. Dallas, Texas 75237
