Roy F. Clements Sr.

CLEMENTS, SR., ROY F.
84, of Providence, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Janet (Deschene) Clements. Roy was a son of the late Albert and Lillian (Brown) Clements. Roy was Police Officer for the Providence Police Department for 20 years, before retiring. After his retirement from the Providence Police Department, he was a Police Officer at RI College for 18 years. Roy was a member of the FOP Providence Lodge #3, Providence Blue Association, Past Treasurer of St. Thomas Church CYO, past member of St. Thomas School Board, Steward for the FOP Lodge #3, served on the Executive Board for RI College, and was also a volunteer at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital.
He is survived by his loving children, Roy F. Clements, Jr. and his wife Lori of Warwick, Matthew E. Clements and his wife Bethany of Johnston, Elizabeth LaFlamme and her husband Norman of Johnston, and Catherine M. Clements of Providence. Roy was the cherished grandfather of Ben, Lauren, Sarah, Jack, Samuel, Janet, Rebecca, Michael, Charlie, and Matthew. He was a dear brother of the late Richard J. Clements, Lillian Watson, and Albert E. Clements.
His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Church, Providence at 11 a.m. Visiting hours are on Wednesday MORNING from 9-10 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
