Roy Cleveland Daniel, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 5, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on October 21 1957, Roy dedicated his life to his work and family, known for his tenacity and unwavering spirit. As a roofer at BNF Roofing, he took pride in his craftsmanship, demonstrating the strong character that defined his life.
Those who knew Roy recognized him for his thoughtful and faith-filled nature, as well as his hands-on approach to life. He had a reputation for being both handy and, at times, stubborn and hardheaded—traits that endeared him to his loved ones. His loving personality created a warm and welcoming atmosphere for friends and family alike.
Roy found joy in a variety of hobbies and interests. He was an avid video game enthusiast, relishing in time spent immersed in diverse gaming worlds. Additionally, his affection for animals was evident, as he took great care in nurturing them, showcasing his compassionate side. Above all, Roy treasured spending quality time with his grandchildren, creating countless cherished memories with them.
Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Melissa "Missy" Daniel, and his daughters Amber Jones, Billy Daniel, Kaylee Vaughn (Zach), and Crystal Marlow. He was a proud grandfather to Wyatt Jones, Oaklynn Vaughn, Lanie Vaughn, Georgianna Marlow, Nicholas Banks, and William Bergen. Roy also leaves behind plenty of nieces and nephews, who will deeply miss his presence.
A memorial service honoring Roy's life will take place on March 9, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Cremation Society of South Carolina - Westville Funerals Operations Center, located at 6010 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC. This gathering will provide family and friends an opportunity to celebrate and reflect on the enduring legacy of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of many.
