Funeral services for Roy Ferrol Duncan, Sr., 85, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2025, at Family Worship Center, Cairo, GA. Pastor Johnny H. Moore and Rev. Jim Weaver will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Duncan passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
Mr. Duncan was born on August 21, 1939, in Moultrie, GA, to the late Roy Thomas Duncan and Evelyn Morris Duncan. On April 24, 1960, he married Dixie Katherine Allen Duncan, who preceded him in death on March 26, 2007. He was the owner and operator of Quality LP Gas in Cairo until his retirement. He was a member of Family Worship Center.
Survivors include: his children, Ferrol Duncan, Jr. (Debbie) of Whigham, GA, Sherry Duncan Cady (Kenneth) of Tallahassee, FL; Bruce Duncan (Tonya) of Crawfordville, FL; grandchildren, Nichole Bryant of Warner Robins, GA, Eric Cady of Tallahassee, FL, Ashley Duncan of Crawfordville, FL; Cynthia Robertson of Cairo, GA, Rex Robertson of Cairo, GA, Steven Robertson of Cairo, GA, Taylor Duncan Sutton of Valdosta, GA, Parker Duncan of Valdosta, GA, Ashton Duncan (Maddie) of Crawfordville, FL; great-grandchildren, Madeline, Zoey , KK, Haisley, Rex, Jr., Austin, River, Jackson, Dixon; great-greatgrandchildren, Aiden; sister, June Bouska of Grayson, GA, Patricia Bowers of Guyton, GA; brother, Morris Duncan (Mary Jo) of Havana, FL; sister-in-law, Gwyn Duncan of Vada, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Dixie Allen Duncan; his daughter, Darlene Katherine Duncan; brother, Wright Duncan; and sisters, Rebecca Duncan Haire, Barbara Duncan Zotyka.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Duncan’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
The family will receive friends at Family Worship Center immediately following the funeral service.
