ROY DUNN

1966 - 2026

Roy Dunn entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, age 59. He was the devoted son of the late Lucretia Brown and Bernard Dunn. Roy attended John McDonough High School. He accepted Christ as his person savior and was baptized at Mt. Olive Baptist Church No. 1 in Algiers, LA under the leadership of the late Rev. Myles Roy, where Roy became an usher in the Church.

Roy leaves to cherish all of his memories, his 3 children Tristin Simmons, Sr. (Nadia), Ava and Krishaunda Dunn, his stepson Terrell Andrews and the adopted father of his niece Irma Dunn. He was the grandfather of Cori'Naja Williams, Cam, Charlie, D'yani Dunn, Chase Stirgus, Tristin, Jr., Trinity and True Simmons, Terrell, Jr., and King Andrew. Roy was the brother of Annie, Erostine, Wade, Eric and Kim (Michelle) Dunn and the late Ava Dunn. The foster son of the late Ana and Pat Crawford. Roy was the godfather of James Toles and Artesia Roy. Roy is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends, also.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and members of Mt. Olive #1 Baptist Church of Algiers and all neighboring Churches are invited to attend the Memorial Funeral Service at 10:00am on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Fischer Community Church, 1737 L.B.
