Kevin George Thompson

Kevin George "Potato" Thompson entered eternal rest on March 2, 2026, at the age of 63. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, he was a proud graduate of John McDonough High School, Class of 1982. Kevin dedicated many years of service to the New Orleans Public School System. He later moved to Georgia, where he worked at Southern Regional Hospital, Fulton County Court, Lockheed Martin, and Georgia Tech. Throughout his life, Kevin was known for his dedication, kindness, and strong work ethic. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Lyvone Harness and John "Billy" Thomas; his father, Charles Thompson; and his brother, Keith Thompson. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving spouse, Terri Thompson; his daughter, Brittany Phillips (Jerimy Sr.) Sims; three grandsons and one granddaughter; two godchildren; two sisters and two brothers; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, March 21, 2026, for 10:00 a.m. at The Boyd Family Funeral Home, 5001 Chef Menteur Hwy., New Orleans, Louisiana 70126. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Henry Mason, officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Memorial Park Cemetery, Metairie, Louisiana.
