Roy Duty Jr. Obituary
Roy E. "Butch" Duty Jr, age 73 of Columbus, OH, passed away on October 13, 2025. He was born on August 16, 1952 to the late Roy Edward Duty Sr and Mary (Staten) Duty in Delbarton, WV. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Carol Duty, and a brother Elmer Duty. Roy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Kathy Duty, child Kimberly (Christopher) Pulliam, grandchildren Brittany (Denny) Rizer and Anthony J. (Lizzy) Higgins, great grandchildren Saoirse and Naomhan Rizer, siblings Hi Duty, Sue McGowan, and Brenda (Mike) Duty, close family friend William Winget, and other family friends.
Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH on Monday, October 20, 2025 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Graveside service will be held at 1:30pm at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, 3960 Brookham Dr, Grove City, OH 43123.
