The Power and Light Prayer Group has met in Roy's home for approximately 10 years and they began the Power and Light Weatherization Project over five years ago. In conjunction with Student Life in Birmingham, Alabama, who provided students to do the work several weeks of the year, They have helped hundreds of people within a 20 mile radius of Ruston over the past six summers. Roy has assisted in several mission trips, including wiring a Spanish mission church in Center, Texas, going to Mexico with a church group and also going with Louisiana Tech's BCM to Dallas, Texas on their mission trip, as well as assisting in a number of disaster relief trips.
