Roy C. Flatt was born on August 2, 1944, in Jackson County, TN and passed away at Bailey Manor in Cookeville on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the age of 81.
Roy was the son of Joseph Edward Flatt and Lucy Victoria Burroughs Flatt. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Center Grove Church of Christ in Gainesboro, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Anna Lee Flatt who passed away on October 7, 2024; brothers: Earl Flatt and Thurel Flatt; sisters-in-law: Mary Nell Flatt and Mildred Flatt; brother-in-law: Glenous Haney.
Roy is survived by his sister: Lorene Haney of Gainesboro, TN; hosts of very special nieces and nephews; hosts of great nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-laws: Roy and Betty Smallwood of Gainesboro, TN and Royce and Linda Jenkins of Gainesboro, TN.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 4 pm to 8 pm and Sunday 10 am to 12 noon at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday October 12, 2025, at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Young Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jayson Haney, Bruce Smallwood, Jason Smith, Peyton Smith, Lane Jenkins, Dink McDowell.
Memorial donations may be made to Young Cemetery by contacting the business office of the funeral home.
