Roy Fluker Jr., also known as Skip, was born on June 05, 1959, in Troy Alabama, as the youngest of four children to the late Roy Fluker Sr. and the late Catherine Powell Fluker.
He peacefully passed away on Monday December 29. 2025 at Tanner Hospital Villa Rica with his beloved wife by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Cathy Orlandi.
Roy confessed hope in Christ during his earlier years of life but gave his life to Christ and was baptized this year 2025.
Skip grew up in Smyrna, Georgia where he was very active in sports in High School. He lived a life marked by service, dedication, and quiet strength. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged after completing his service, embodying a spirit of commitment and resilience that remained with him throughout his life.
Following his military service, Skip continued to serve others through his work at The Postal Office and The Red Cross delivering blood and training drivers before transitioning to work in the lab at Redcross as a Technician to focus on the critical, regulated process of managing and shipping blood products.
In this role, he played a vital part in supporting lifesaving efforts across his community- work that reflected both his sense of responsibility and compassion for others.
Roy embraced life enthusiastically, living generously and always striving to make a difference. He was known for his kind heart, sense of humor, loyalty, integrity, and a dog lover.
He joined in Holy Matrimony to his beloved wife Nafieza Fluker in 2025. He was a very loving and family-oriented husband.
Skip is survived by his devoted wife Nafieza Fluker, caring stepdad of son, Lemuel Punch, loyal dog Freddie Fluker, Two children Katie Carter and Nick Fluker. One son-in-law and one daughter-in-law. Four grandchildren, two sisters, Phyllis Russell and Kerry Rosewall. Sister-In-Law Nancy. Two brothers--in-law Dan Rosewall and Joseph Orlandi. Beloved niece Michelle Brooks and Kasey Russell Beloved nephews Mark Orlandi, Joe Orlandi and Mitch Rosewall. Friends, coworkers at Redcross, neighbors, Chrissy Barber and many others.
His presence will be deeply missed by those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort and peace to all whose lives he touched. We will forever love you and keep you alive in our hearts. May your soul rest in peace beloved
