Roy Allen Fronek, passed away peacefully, at the age of 68, on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Lightways Hospice. Roy was born on August 26, 1954, the son of the late Frederick and Delores (nee McMillin) Fronek. Born and raised in Joliet, he was a graduate of Joliet West High School and has been a Teamsters Local 179 Truck Driver for 15 dedicated years. Roy was also a member of the Joliet Moose Lodge 300 and the Raven's Club.
A very handy man, Roy could fix anything. He was very mechanical and was always keeping busy in his garage working on a project. He had a big heart and was always there in anyone's time of need. He enjoyed being outdoors with a fishing rod in his hand, working on cars, and watching the Chicago Black Hawks and Cubs. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Laura A. (nee Jones) Fronek; his daughter, Sarah (Brian) Roberts; grandson, Jack Roberts; siblings, Susan Fronek and Fred (Brenda) Fronek; brother-in-law, Leonard Rochnowski; and sister-in-law, Judi Fronek and in-laws Richard (Dawn) Arambasich, Karen (David) Studer and Jeffrey (Rhonda Krasselt) Jones. He is also survived by a daughter, Brittany Huston; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded by his parents; three brothers, David, Bruce, and Roger Fronek; and one sister, Sandra Rochnowski.

Funeral Services for Roy Allen Fronek were held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL. As it was his request, cremation rites have been accorded.
