Roy Charles "Charlie" Fultz Sr.

Roy Charles "Charlie" Fultz, Sr., 77, of Reedsville, passed away on Monday February 21, 2022 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born October 14, 1944 in Reedsville, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Maxine H. (Crownover) Fultz.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 56 years whom he married on September 4, 1965, Caroll Sue (Sheaffer) Fultz; children, Roy Charles "Bud" Fultz, Jr. and wife Angela, of Portsmouth, VA, and Jamie Fultz and wife Connie, of Reedsville; grandchildren, Chelsea Fultz, Kaitlyn George and husband Joshua, Charles "Chad" Fultz, and Brandon Fultz, great-grandchild, Payton George, and sister, Shirley Stambaugh, of Haddonfield, NJ.
Charlie honorably served his country in The United States Army from 1965-1968.
Earlier in life, he was employed as a State Safety Inspector for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania he was then employed as a machinist at Sperry New Holland and Standard Steel machine shop 2, and lastly, he entered the poultry industry owning and operating Gobber Ridge Enterprises for 22 years, retiring in 2017.
He was a faithful member of The Reedsville United Methodist Church.
Roy will be remembered for his giving nature and constant focus on giving back to others and his community. He performed this through his active leadership serving as Brown Township Supervisor for 16 years, Life member of The Reedsville Fire Dept., founding member of The Reedsville Men's Club, The Lewistown Elks Lodge #663, The Masonic Lodge of Lewistown #203, Reedsville Cub Master Pack 5, Reedsville Scout Master Troop 10, Order of The Arrow "Brotherhood", and Disabled American Veterans. He was instrumental in the start and early development of the Mifflin County 4-H Horse and Pony Club, and was known as a master-craftsman when it came to leatherwork. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Details of a Celebration of Charlie's life being held on October 15, 2022 at The Milroy Hose Company #1, 190 College Ave, Milroy, PA 17063, will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown PA 17044.
