Ruth A. Stout

Ruth A. Stout, 83, of Lewistown, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.

Born May 13, 1942, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Roy E. and Gladys C. (Flynn) Koontz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant granddaughter, Ella; her grandson, Dylan Follmer; and her brother, Donald Koontz.

Ruth is survived by her loving family: her son, Kevin S. Stout and his companion, Robyn E. Miller; her daughter, Lori A. Follmer and her husband, Gary Scheidecker, all of Lewistown; and her brother, John Koontz and his wife, Julia, of Carlisle. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Wendy Cherry and her husband, Dustin; Adam Stout; Nathan Follmer and his wife, Carley Lavelle; Nicholas Follmer and his wife, Mackenzie; and Owen Follmer; as well as her beloved great-grandchildren, Blake, Hannah, Cade, Noah, Abigail, Griffin, Everett, Hudson, Beckett, Lennon, and Jude.

Ruth devoted more than 30 years of dedicated service to KB-Aerotech prior to her retirement. She will be remembered for her appreciation of life's simple joys and, above all, for the deep love she shared with her family and the time she treasured spending with them.

A funeral service in celebration of Ruth's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 19, 2026, at King Funeral Home and Crematory, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville, with Pastor Chris Lutz officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Interment will follow at Juniata Memorial Park.
