Roy G. Hambach

Roy G. Hambach, 74, of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Roy was born on September 16, 1948, in Massillon, the son of the late Roy and Rose (Horvath) Hambach. He was a 1966 graduate of Washington High School. Roy worked for the Timken Steel Co. and retired after 44 years of service. He was a lifelong member of the Massillon Moose Lodge 481, where he was recognized as Pilgrim of the Order. Roy was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was an avid shooter and loved the outdoors. Roy was very selfless and put everybody's needs before his. He was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Hambach, grandson, Brandon Jasinski, and sister, Brenda Hambach.
He is survived by his daughters Christina (Bernardo) Diaz, April (Ty) Tabellion, Teri (Dacia) Getz, and Ruth (Rocco Speziale) Hambach; grandchildren, Amber Acosta, Julio Diaz, Roy Stevens, Melody Stevens, and Zack Weiford; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Sandy Bonk; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 10:30 am at St. Barbara Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Monday, June 5, 2023, from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: www.stjude.org.
