Roy E. Klick, age 86, of Massillon, passed away peacefully at his home, Windy Way Farm, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on March 12, 1939, in Massillon, Ohio, to the late Frank and Katherine H. (Brown) Klick, and remained a resident of the community throughout his life. Roy was a 1957 graduate of Massillon Washington High School and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps.
After his service, Roy returned home to follow his lifelong passion for farming. At Windy Way Farm, he worked alongside his father and later his son, cultivating both the land and lasting family traditions. His life was truly fulfilled when he married the love of his life, Mary Jo, on September 21, 1958. Together they built a life rooted in faith, hard work, and devotion to family.
Roy was an active member of the Canton Baptist Temple, the Perry Grange, and the Stark County Farm Bureau. Through these organizations, he formed many cherished friendships and was known for his gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and willingness to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Klick; children, Amy (Lonni) Mackey, Kenneth R. (Mary Ellen) Klick, and James E. (Mary Beth) Klick; grandchildren, Tyler (Kayla), Taylor (Taylor), Logan (Kelsey), Ben (Kourtney), and Camille (Alex); seven great-grandchildren; and brothers, Robert (Gina) Klick and Frank Klick.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Canton Baptist Temple (Henniger Center), 515 Whipple Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44708. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
