Roy Lee Kuhn, 78, of Coal City passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
Born January 5, 1947 in Minden, WV he was the son of the late Craver and Alice Bennett Kuhn.
Roy was a proud graduate from Shady Spring High School and got a degree as a LPN. He worked for 35 at Raleigh General Hospital at the OR Scub Nurse. In his leirsure he enjoyed, collecting baseball cards, enjoying the boy scouts with his son, reading, and loved all of his animals. Most importantly he loved his family.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Zoe Gail Stanley Kuhn; an infant brother, Norman Kuhn, and a infant sister, Connie Kuhn.
Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving son, Brandon Kuhn and partner Basel; daughter, Rebecca Kuhn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Pastor Delmas Wolfe officiating. Burial will be 11:00 AM on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity.
Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home in Oak Hill on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donation to be made to the Bowers Hospice House 454 Cranberry Drive Beckley WV, 25801.
The family of Roy Kuhn would also like to thank the nurses of Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital ICU and the nurses at the Bowers Hospice House for all there care they showed to their dad.
