Roy Alexander "Poss" Lail

Roy Alexander "Poss" Lail, 80, of Connelly Springs, passed away Monday November 7, 2022 at his residence following a period of declining health. Mr. Lail was born on April 7, 1942 in Burke County to the late Oscar Lail and Jeanette Lowman Lail. He was a self employed brick mason. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters, Rachel and Sue; and two brothers, K.C. "Buck" and M.D. "Big". Survivors include his children, Roy Lail, Jr. of Conover, Jackie L. Wright of Valdese, Scott E. Lail and wife Carla of Hickory, Shannon Lail and Timmy Lail both of Hickory; one sister, Louise Gragg and husband George of Connelly Springs; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and mother of three of his children, Sadie H. Bivens of Valdese. A Visitation will be held for family and friends on Friday November 11, 2022 from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital, 950 W Faris Rd. Greenville, SC 29605.
