Roy Lambert Obituary

Roy A. Lambert, 78, of Seekonk passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Diane (Isabelle) Lambert for the past 47 years.

Born January 11, 1947 in Attleboro, MA, the son of the late Harold A. and Evelyne M. (Demarais) Lambert.

Roy was a graduate of King Philip Regional High School, Class of 1965. He was the owner of Automated Finishing Co., in Attleboro.

He was raised in Plainville, MA and spent many summers in Westport, MA on his father's boat, the "Evelyne L" from which the family enjoyed swordfish and tuna fishing. In his 20's and early 30's, he loved catching bluefish off Noman's Island from his own boat. Throughout his life he truly enjoyed hunting. He could be found rabbit hunting down on Cape Cod, deer hunting in Vermont, bear hunting in Maine and even quail and mountain lion hunting in Arizona. He was also an excellent skeet shooter, winning a few state championships. Skeet shooting was a sport that he enjoyed well into his seventies, spending Saturday and Sunday afternoons at the Independent Sportsmen's Club in Foxboro, MA.

Once the children came, Roy was more content with just spending time with his family.

He loved gardening and attending his children's sports events. In 1991, Roy and Diane had a log cabin built in Bridgton, ME where the family enjoyed hiking, pontoon boating, ice skating and skiing for many years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Ashley L. Irving (John) and Justin A. Lambert (Kathryn); grandchildren, Michael J. Driscoll, Jr., Hunter E. Lambert; step granddaughter Giana Viscuse; a brother, Daniel Lambert (Melanie). As well as 8 nieces and 4 nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Lambert (Marcia).

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, August 16, from 10:00 – 11:30 am in the Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Service, 20 Peck St., Attleboro, MA. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11:30 am in the funeral home. Burial will take place privately at a later date.
