Roy Allen Martin, 55, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in West Plains, Missouri.
He was born in Elkhart, Indiana, on March 17, 1969, the son of Douglas and Kathleen Martin. Roy was united in marriage to Jennifer Vandergriff on December 26, 1995, in Salem, Arkansas. He was a truck driver and owned the car wash in Salem. Roy always took pride in his work and loved his car wash. His motto was always a hand up and not a handout. He loved his community and was always willing to help anyone if they had a need. Roy took many pictures of forgotten places to encourage the community to remember the old times. He enjoyed bowfishing and riding motorcycles. Roy learned how to farm on the computer and his newfound passion was farming on Don and Lora Benedict farm. He loved his family and spending time with them, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Martin of Salem, Arkansas; sons, Mike Sullivan (Bethany) of North Pole, Alaska and Jesse Amore of West Plains, Missouri; daughters, Kayla Inman (Dexture) of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Jessica Martin of Salem, Arkansas and Bridget Magana of Salem, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jemma Clem, Charlie Inman, Bailey Inman, Claire Magana, Sierra Sullivan and Desi McMillian; mother, Kathleen of Indiana; brothers, Earl Douglas Martin (Jennifer) of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Robert Martin (Sasha) of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Monty Martin of Cabool, Missouri, Kern Eldried (Heather) of Salem, Arkansas and Jeff Davis (Connie) of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and sister, Robin Coker of Lake Jackson, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Myrtle Martin and precious grandson, Axel Sullivan.
Memorial services are Friday, June 14, 2024, beginning at 6:00 PM at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas.
