Roy was born April 6, 1944 in North Carolina to the late William Thomas Morrison and the late Sally Ann Burnette Morrison.
He was also preceded in death by step-daughter Scarlette Latkowski; 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 26 from 10:00 am - 11:45 am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. Roy was a wonderful husband, father, and pawpaw. He was a dedicated NASCAR fan, especially Daytona. Roy enjoyed spending his time mowing the yard, working on cars, going to the beach, and going to the races. Roy also loved spending time with his great-grandson, Jaxon and his 2 dogs Keani and Luna. But his most fondest memories were made spending time with his family. Roy met the love of his life, Brenda, to whom he was married for 52 years. They bought a beach house and would frequently go there to spend quality time together. They also bought an RV and would often go to the NASCAR events. Roy will be sorely missed by all who knew him, but all can find peace in knowing that he is now with his Lord and Savior.
Survivors include wife, Brenda Morrison of Locust, NC.; daughter, Sandy (Dexter) Page of Locust, NC.; step-son, Scotty (Anita) Alexander of Oakboro, NC; brother, Jerry Morrison of Lexington, NC.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
