Roy Lee Plagman, 71, son of Earl & Juanita (Randel) Plagman, was born June 2, 1954 in Audubon, Iowa. He passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the New Homestead in Guthrie Center, Iowa.

Roy graduated from Adair-Casey High School in 1972. He enlisted into the United States Navy immediately after high school and served until his honorable discharge in 1976. On November 26, 1977, he married Leanna Bancroft in Casey, Iowa and they made their home in Guthrie Center. Roy operated his own gas station in Guthrie Center for about 3 years. He then went to work for NAPA in Guthrie Center for 2 years and then for Tague Tire & Oil for 3 years. Roy and Leanna owned & operated their own video store, Music & More, for 12 years and then Close Line Consignments for 15 years. Roy retired in 2021.

Roy and Leanna enjoyed taking road trips and doing all sorts of crafts. Roy loved woodworking and working on cars. Roy was a man who could fix anything.

Roy is survived by his wife, Leanna Plagman of Guthrie Center; two grandchildren, Samantha Flynn & Valentino Brunow; sisters, Patsy (Denny) Russo of Urbandale, Barb Majerus of Des Moines, and Joann Hansen of Waukee; brothers, Jerry Plagman and Earl Plagman, Jr. both of Casey; sister-in-law, Rita (John) Campbell of Las Vegas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Katy Bancroft, and sister Sue Gustafson.

Cremation will take place and services are pending at this time.
